Developing a Plan for Palliative Care

Date: 8 November 2019

The draft plan has been created as part of the Macmillan Cancer Pathway and Palliative Care Improvement Project.  During a 14 week consultation period earlier this year people told us about their experiences of palliative care and support, and what they told us has been reflected in the plan. The plan has been developed using a partnership approach and co-productive methods ensuring it reflects local and national outcomes and priorities.

What happens next?

Over the next few weeks we are offering people the opportunity to comment on the draft plan and suggest any amendments or additions. Any feedback we receive before midnight on 19 January 2020 will be considered during the final editing process. We will be unable to include any comments received after this date.

The final draft will be presented to the Integration Joint Board on Thursday April 9 2020 for their approval.

If you would like to provide any feedback on the plan please complete the Survey Monkey by clicking here, email us on dg.mip@nhs.net or telephone us on 01387 272725. If your comments relate to any particular part of the plan please make it clear as to which part by quoting the section number i.e. section 1.2 or section 3.2.1.
