Repair and Battery Services for Hearing Aid Users

The Hard of Hearing Group have started up clinics but these are appointment only.

Anyone with a hearing aid should not, under any circumstances, attend the Audiology Department for batteries or repairs without contacting us first. All GP surgeries are now issuing batteries so check with them first before contacting the audiology department.

If anyone requires hearing aid batteries or a repair they can do the following:

  • Make a request by post: send the faulty hearing aid to the Audiology Department, Mountainhall Treatment Centre, Bankend Road, Dumfries DG1 4AP
  • Telephone: 01387 241499
  • Email: dg.audiologydgri@nhs.scot
  • Contact their local GP practice (batteries only)
  • Contact the local HOHG (details below)

The department has a box situated at the main reception of Mountainhall Treatment Centre that people can drop off hearing aids for repair.

They can also collect batteries from the box.

The Audiology Team will try and repair hearing aids on the day they receive them and return them as soon as possible.
