YOUNG PEOPLE'S MENTAL HEALTH FORUM PROJECTS
The Youth Forum have had the opportunity to be involved in co-designing resources alongside health professionals, contributed to health blogs, sharing their experiences locally and nationally, and have participated within different seasonal group work opportunities.
Current Youth Forum Priorities
'Be Kind' Project
The ‘Be Kind’ mental health awareness animation was produced by young people alongside Hope London local artist and CAMHS Participation Lead. This project was externally funded by See Me.
The Be Kind project, led by nine young people supported through the CAMHS service, delivered an engaging animation and educational booklet sharing their advice and experiences of mental health. The young people wanted to highlight the importance of talking about Mental Health and where you can seek support locally.

Changing Rooms Project
Some young people had feedback that they would like some of the clinical spaces to look and feel more welcoming and children and young person friendly.
Our Participation Lead worked alongside members of our CAMHS Youth Forum to create the Changing Rooms Planning group, where they researched costings for equipment and resources, created room collage boards and devised interactive ways to find out other children and young people’s views and thoughts and dressed the rooms when the resources had arrived.
- The rooms needed brightened up.
- The bookcases were empty, we bought different things to decorate these.
- We wrote positive affirmations on the new individual whiteboards.
