Community Mental Health Nursing Team
The Community Mental Health Nursing Team is a specialist team of nurses and healthcare support workers who have in-depth training, experience and understanding of mental health difficulties.
The service is for adults age 18 + who have mental health problems.
What We Do
- Assess, treat and monitor mental ill health
- Offer a variety of therapeutic interventions to help people overcome their difficulties
- Promote good health
- Refer for hospital admission if required
We also work closely with other professionals, including:
- Occupational therapy
- Crisis Assessment Team (CATS)
- Psychology
- Dementia Link Worker
- Social Work
- IDEAS team
- Eating disorder team
- Specialist drug and alcohol team
- Third sector agencies

The Samaritans
Samaritans provide confidential non-judgemental emotional support 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair.
