Views sought on new Moffat pharmacy

NHS Dumfries and Galloway is seeking comment on plans to open a new pharmacy to serve the Moffat area.

Davidsons Chemists is considering an application for a pharmacy at 7 Well Street in Moffat. In line with their duty to consult on major service changes, NHS Dumfries and Galloway and Davidsons have begun a joint consultation with Davidsons in the Moffat area.

The consultation, which runs from 6 March until 13 July this year, will gather views on whether the new pharmacy is needed and what services it should offer. It will also seek opinions on opening hours and how a new pharmacy could affect other health and care services in Moffat and the surrounding area.

All views are welcome, from any person or group in or outside Moffat. An online form at https://tinyurl.com/ynx4xj7y provides more information about the proposed new pharmacy and allows responses to be given anonymously.

Printed versions of the form will also be distributed at healthcare locations in and around Moffat, and can be obtained from the NHS DG Communications Team, DGRI, A75, Cargenbridge, DG2 8RX, or by phoning 01387 246246 or emailing dgcommunications@nhs.scot
