How to Access Dental Services
In order to receive the full range of dental treatment and care, you should be registered with a dentist.
When you register with a dentist you’ll be registered for life, unless you or your dentist requests your registration to be withdrawn.
If you attend another dentist for treatment and don’t tell them you’re registered elsewhere, your registration will automatically transfer to that dentist.

Access to Dental Services for Unregistered Patients
Dental Clinic – Galloway Community Hospital, Stranraer
Unregistered patients under 26 years of age are able to access a dental check up and single course of NHS dental treatment if required. Patients under 26 years of age are eligible for free NHS dental treatment.

Unregistered patients of any age are able to access a dental check up and single course of NHS dental treatment if required. Standard NHS dental charges apply unless the person is exempt.

Unregistered patients over 16 years of age are able to access a dental check up and single course of dental treatment if required free of charge.

Emergency Care
Unregistered patients experiencing, dental pain, swelling or dental trauma, emergency care is provided by calling the Dental Helpline:
